Prepare a vertical timeline
Create or open a 1080 × 1920 vertical DaVinci Resolve timeline. Complete the basic edit first: footage, pacing, captions, logos and calls to action. KYFX sits above those elements and shows where the selected platform interface will compete for space.
Keep the preview title on its own video track. This makes it easy to lock, hide or duplicate without touching the footage underneath.
A five-step preview workflow
Add KYFX above the footage
Open Effects Library → Titles, find KYFX Social Preview Pack and drag it to a video track above the entire vertical edit.
Match the title duration
Extend the KYFX title so it covers every section you want to inspect. A full-timeline guide makes it easier to check captions and transitions consistently.
Select the target platform
With the KYFX title selected, open the Inspector and choose Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or TikTok.
Reposition important elements
Move captions, faces, logos and buttons away from interface controls. Check the opening frame, transition moments and the final call to action.
Repeat for every destination
Switch to the other platforms and review the same edit again. The composition stays in place while the reference interface changes.
What to check on each platform
Platform interfaces evolve, so use the included previews as a composition check rather than treating one fixed margin as permanent. When the platform changes, verify your final layout again.
Before the final export
- Scrub through the entire edit with the platform preview enabled.
- Confirm captions remain readable at fast cuts and transitions.
- Check logos and calls to action on all three platform previews.
- Hide or disable the KYFX preview title when you want a clean export.
- Render a short test and inspect it on a phone before publishing.
The platform overlay can remain visible when you intentionally want to demonstrate the interface. For a normal delivery, disable it before rendering the final master.
