5 MINUTE SETUPDRFX PACKAGERESOLVE 18.6+

Before you begin

Download the KYFX Social Preview Pack from your Gumroad library and make sure the file keeps its .drfx extension. The pack is designed for DaVinci Resolve 18.6 or newer and works without an external plugin.

GOOD TO KNOW

A DRFX file is a DaVinci Resolve effects package. You do not need to unzip it or move its internal files manually.

Install the DRFX package

Close active Resolve projects

Save your current project first. Closing Resolve is not always required, but it gives the application a clean start after installation.

Open the downloaded DRFX file

Locate the KYFX package in your Downloads folder and double-click it. DaVinci Resolve should open the package installer automatically.

Approve the installation

Confirm the installation when Resolve displays the package prompt. Wait for the success message before continuing.

Restart DaVinci Resolve

Open Resolve again so the Effects Library refreshes and registers the new title template.

Find KYFX in the Effects Library

Open a project and switch to the Edit page. Open the Effects Library, select the Titles category and search for “KYFX” or “Social Preview Pack.” Drag the title onto a video track above your footage.

  • Use a vertical 1080 × 1920 timeline for the intended layout.
  • Place the KYFX title on a track above the edited video.
  • Select the title and open the Inspector to access its controls.

If the template does not appear

Restart the application

Resolve may need a full restart before a newly installed DRFX title becomes visible in the Effects Library.

Check the Edit page

The pack is used as a title template. Look under Effects Library → Titles while working on the Edit page, then search for KYFX.

Confirm your Resolve version

Update DaVinci Resolve if you are using a version older than 18.6. After updating, reinstall the DRFX package and restart Resolve.

Download the package again

If the file was renamed, interrupted during download or saved without the .drfx extension, download a fresh copy from your Gumroad library.
